I woke up today & found no new emails. That hasn't happened in so long that I don't remember when the last time was, probably while I was in high school. The only thing I needed to do was delete junk mail, this is after checking 6 email accounts! (although I stayed up a lot later than I wanted to because I couldn't sleep, I didn't get any emails the whole time)
So naturally I thought maybe something was wrong with AIESEC.net, but it looks fine!
Maybe this is a sign of something?
Anyways, being November, the question asked all the time is "what are you doing next?"
My focus is on completing my current term as successfully as possible, however I am reading the applications for the different opportunities which become available. I guess i'll apply for whatever I am interested in, I have a couple of things in mind but am not sure if i'll be available to do too much until after I graduate, or maybe it's time to move on...
I have this blog account while also having another one, it is mostly to remind myself even that I have a life outside of AIESEC, I am a person before i'm an AIESECer, my name is Puneet Duggal, my title does not matter too much, but the role I play is one that i'm happy with, which somewhat changes every year anyways. I also really wanted this account because of the words "My AIESEC" this is similar to the AIESEC.net front page. The two of those (your blog & your front page) can be customized to be what you want them to be, so for me, AIESEC is about constantly learning from the many communities i'm on, about sharing experiences & resources, is about connecting with people & developing yourself while you help develop eithers personally & professionally. When I see a student I see a potential member or a potential intern, when I see a company I see a potential partner, when I see applications I see opportunities. It's interesting how quickly we become revolutionary in AIESEC, before finding out why things are the way they are, we decide that things can be better & start working towards making them better, but different isn't always better.
Very reflective on this otherwise silent day...
