ARAZ!

So, as some of you know, our current/outgoing MCP Araz Najarian is the Incoming Director of the Spanish Speaking Growth Network for AIESEC International, she made a video to introduce herself to the SSGN which is available at: http://www.aiesec.ca/files/video.html

Some of it is in Spanish, but most of it is in english, I don't know about you guys, but i'm missing her already!

DONE!

So, did you read the spam sent out to the Canada AIESEC.net community???

I WROTE IT!!!

Or how about the NLDC Delegate Package???

I WROTE (pg 15) IT!!!

That's right, from spamming nationally, to leading a working group at NLDC 2006, I am SO pumped for this conference!!!

In CEED news, I will be getting the visa Monday & then applying for the Indian visa

I have a list of what I have to pack & the next 5 days to pack, I am probably shopping the next 5 days & on the phone a lot confirming plans to meet up wiht friends & doing a short marketing blitz in the beginning of next week to do my last calls to clients before i'm off

It feels like they are both one big thing since I fly out the day after the conference BUT I am going on a trip to India first, it is turning into a work related trip, but i'm SO happy to be done exams & get to think about just this!

I know already that when I start saying good bye to friends after seeing them this weekend or next week, or banquet at NLDC i'll get all sentimental but right now i'm SO looking forward to everything coming up!

Canada-Pakistan Business Council

PICK UP THAT PHONE & CALL!

You never know what the outcome will be:

My meeting lasted 2 hours, to say it was successful is an understatement:

We will get an endorsement letter, there is some interest in being on an advisory council, we are getting MANY contacts, there is interest in helping host networking events (both in Canada & Pakistan)

Kurt & I will probably meet with them next week!

We will be there soon, we'll have MANY meetings VERY soon!!!

In other news, because this week had a national holiday, I will do some calling on Monday

Bug Reporting!!!

So, I posted maybe my third or fourth bug report on AIESEC.net, I ALWAYS post when I get an error message since I LOVE AIESEC.net & it helps to make it better

I'm SO excited because recently a bug report I filed is being worked on by Azri!!!

Here is the most recent comment by Jason Trask (who I call JT):

Thanks for providing further info on this error Puneet. I have
passed this onto our developers.

I will keep you updated.

Kind regards,

Tunak Tunak Tun

I am SO excited for the upcoming conference right now!!!

In my search for more international known versions of AIESEC dances I went to video.google.com & searched for Tunak Tunak Tun

As one of my dancing partners retired (stop going to conferences!) I found a new one, but now i'll need one for when i'll be on my CEED (I think Kurt will be able to step up!!!)

Update

So i've been making my calls, cold calling sucks but could lead to some success so it's worth doing.

People don't return messages left on voicemail!!!

But this is the FUN of AIESEC marketing which I have missed!!! It's like a game you play with each company/contact, if the first strategy you try doesn't work you try the next one!

I'm pretty excited about the calls i'll make Monday (some people we're out of the office this week)

There aren't any networking events coming up that I can check out

Results:

April 13 - Meeting with the President of the Canada-Pakistan Business Council
April 17 - Signing a JQ Form with Shoeless Joes

I'm getting some contacts in India, which i'll either give to the CEEDers or to the LC there (the contacts are for Hydrabad)
I'm also getting some contacts from some other people for Business in/with Pakistan

More to come soon!!!

In other news:

I should have the visa in 2 weeks!
I should have a flight booked early next week
I got 3 needles yesterday & have 2 more Monday

School Year Finished!

Now that the school year has finished, I will spend 1 hour of each business day calling companies to book marketing meetings (I will spend other time doing other things, such as emailing, or researching)

I will still spend most of my time preparing for final exams but for the next 2 weeks I am on a marketing blitz!

At a minimum that means I will call 10 companies per day, for 9 days, so 90 companies, but i'll make it a round 100, so i'll call 11 a day or so.

So, using pipeline management I should get at least 10 marketing calls booked, which should lead to at least 1 JQ signing.

My focus right now is on the CEED work & preperation for NLDC but we need to do more marketing & I won't be here this summer to do random blitzes

This is posted here to be held accountable to this, I already have a meeting to be confirmed, 3 follow ups to do & a JQ signing coming up

Let's see what happens...

QUALITY!!!

This Blog is back up & running!!!

So, I will try (as much as possible) to NOT post about AIESEC in the other blog!

I saw this model recently, which is the Ontario Public Service Quality Service Model

I am also currently reading this paper on SERVQUAL

And of course, applying these things to AIESEC
