OQ 2006

In my effort to go to every AIESEC conference this year (in Canada/my region, others if possible), I was at OQ

It was supposed to be more professional than previous year, it was more expensive then previous years as well

I drove, Marina, Sheryl & Adil were in the car with me.

We ate at Harvey's AGAIN, everytime I go there I end up eating there (this was like the third or fourth time!)

Upon almost arriving, Queen's We will Rock you, & of course, We are the Champions was on the radio

I missed opening plenary because I was waiting for people from Quebec to arrive.

Then I was hanging around with Vakul from the OC.

I wanted to cheer, Queen's aint got no beer, Queen's aint got no beer, but it never worked out

I got to talk to the MC a little (Araz, Assem & Helene were there, as delegates), and then when people were gone to the party I went to put my stuff at Varun & Vakul's place, they were ncie enough to have us stay there!

By the time I went to the party people had left to the after party, so we went to the after party, but I was tired so I left after a bit.

It is me, so I spent the whole night talking about AIESEC, Varun started it! We only had 2 or 3 hours in which to sleep, but we spent that discussing AIESEC

I was excited for breakfast because I was told it was a hot breakfast (i'm becoming a breakfast person more and more) Sam from Ryerson challenged Quebec to a cheer off, they had more delegates there, but we had some LOUD people from Ontario (including me) but we lost!

So we are supposed to go to sessions, listen to speechs and stuff, but I was tired to I went back to shower & ended up sleeping for a while

I got to help the OC a little (when Vakul needed it) & Assem said that I can't be honourary OC member everytime!

I was also asked to speak about chamber of commerce at the ER tracks like I did at NC 2006 so that was fun!

I got to talk to the MC a lot over the course of the weekend (which I really enjoyed!)

The scariest moment came when we got as phone call that said Marina wasn't feeling well. She was taken to the hospital (she was fine but I was SO freaked!) When we found out what hospital I insisted we went & soon after she came out & was fine! Marina is definately one of my favourite people!

Second scariest moment, when my laptop fell! It's okay but i'm hoping to have a new one (and a new phone) before the end of the year

Sam from Ryerson said that Assem would be Ontario's mascot & that Helene is theres (this was while I was helping the OC so I couldn't play!) Quebec stole Assem & dressed him up as a women (dress purchased there and then!) Ontario tried to get them back by dressing Helene up but they SO showed us!

Final banquet was pretty good, I wasn't assigned a seat (I didn't have an envelope for sugar cubes either, but still got 2 :p) but I found one & enjoyed the chicken! There was some talk of hooking me up with some chick (who wasn't there, thank god!) but I said how I wasn't interested (but wanted to know why this chick)

It seriously felt like I drove around the whole weekend! We left a little later then we planned to (always happens), I was SO proud of how well the stuff fit in the trunk (there was room to spare!), we had lunch & left for Toronto

It was raining pretty bad on the way back & everyone was sleeping (thanks guys!) I was getting sleepy but I pulled over got some snacks & that woke me up. I was speeding & was so happy about making such good time!

All in all, it was good to see some friends again!

I hope that this leads to a closer relationship of Ontario & Quebec (such that we go see hockey games together, Toronto vs. Montreal) & together arrange for a trip to the upcoming Atlantic Conference!
